Did Someone say Student Discounts?

Graduate school is a huge investment of time and resources, but lucky for HGSE students, our Harvard ID unlocks student discounts in both the Cambridge and Greater Boston Area. If you are curious about some of these perks, read on!

Harvard Art Museums: Your Harvard ID gets you free access to some incredible museums in Boston, including the Museum of Fine Arts, the Institute of Contemporary Art, and the Isabella Steward Gardner Museum.

Theater: I did not realize that Boston was such an influential theater hub until I moved here! In addition to the amazing touring shows at the Boston Opera House through Broadway in Boston, there are some incredible smaller theaters right in Cambridge…specifically, across the street from HGSE. The American Reparatory Theater has launched shows like Waitress and, most recently, hosted the world premiere of Jagged Little Pill, a musical based on the music of Alanis Morrissette that is set to premier on Broadway this fall. Both the Broadway in Boston shows, as well as the ART, have student discounts and student rush available.

Outings and Innings: From sporting events to theater productions, Outings and Innings has you covered. After logging in with your Harvard Key (your username for all things Harvard-related), you can access significant discounts to events in the area, as well tickets to movies and other attractions. And the tickets don’t have a ridiculous service fee! So far this year, I have purchased tickets to a Broadway in Boston show and a Celtics game.

Shopping: Your Harvard ID unlocks discounts at stores like J.Crew, Banana Republic, and more.

The Coop: One of the “hubs” of Harvard Square, the coop is one of the best spots to get apparel, textbooks, and more. For just $1 a year, you can receive 10% off every purchase!

Hi there! My name is Jaime Morgen and I am part of the higher education cohort here at HGSE, as well as one of the four graduate assistants in the HGSE admissions office. I graduated from Tufts University in 2014 with degrees in English, psychology, and entrepreneurial leadership. Immediately after graduating, I joined the Tufts office of undergraduate admissions first as an admissions counselor, and later as an assistant director of admissions. During my four years in the office, I managed our alumni interviewing program, coordinated events, and managed all print publications. Now that I have started my graduate studies, I am excited to finally be taking classes relating to higher education and be surrounded by talented, intelligent, and genuine individuals who share similar interests.
