I was working from home with my husband in Asbury Park, NJ when I received the notification that there was a change in my HGSE application status. We had just 15 minutes between work meetings, so I wanted to open up the email with him. I applied in the summer, so I had just about a month or so to write my statement, gather recommendations and documents, and apply to a program that had been on my bucket list for the past 15 years. I was accepted into the part time program in Specialized Studies! Watch Sai’s reaction to opening his admission’s decision below:

I was working as an elementary school teacher and was on a much-needed spring break in Miami visiting my childhood best friend when I got the email from admissions. We were sitting in lounge chairs by a pool of a hotel, and my eyes got so wide when the confetti went off and her and I immediately started jumping up and down scaring everyone who was around us. We celebrated by going out to eat at one of the nicest restaurants in town and it was truly one of the happiest moments of my life!
